Who will be our DJ? How can we book you? How much do you charge? Will you meet with us? Do we need to pick out all the song for the dancing? Do you charge a mileage fee? Can we come watch you perform? What types of payment do you accept? What will you wear to our event? What if you don't have a song we want? How do we reserve a date? Will we get a contract? Do you have any references we can call/email? Do you have insurance? How early do you usually arrive prior to an event? When do we have to pay in full? Can you stay longer? Who will be our DJ? We (Damon & Tia) are the DJ's/MC's at every event. Back to top. How can we book you? Give us a call ANYTIME at 1-866-685-6335 or send an email to DJ@mainedjservice.com and we can discuss your event in detail. We can then email you a contract to sign and return with a $50.00 retainer. Back to top. How much do you charge? This is the most common question we get. Our prices vary by the services required. Please do not base your decision on price alone, cheap DJ's are cheap for a reason, either inexperience, inferior equipment, poor music selection, or something else. "You get what you pay for" is a common expression about DJ's. Back to top. Will you meet with us? We prefer to meet with you when possible. This way you can see if we are the best entertainment company for your event. We will also meet with you before your event to go over every last detail. Back to top. Do we need to pick out all the songs for the dancing? No. We only ask that you pick out a few songs for certain dances (first dance, wedding party dance, etc.). We always welcome your requests and the requests for your guest, so if there are specials songs you want please let us know, but we pride ourselves in being able to read a crowd to pick the best music. Back to top. Do you charge a mileage fee? Not usually! We only charge a mileage fee when we need to travel more then 200 miles round trip. We charge $0.48 cents per mile, which is the standard mileage rates from the IRS. Back to top. Can we come watch you perform? We perform at private events and allowing someone who was not invited to come watch is not possible. Your event will be treated the same way. Back to top. What types of payment do you accept? We accept cash, check, money orders, travelers checks, paypal, and all major credit cards. Back to top. What will
you wear to our event?
We will come dressed the way you want us to, from casual to formal. If you do not have a preference our normal attire is business suit. Back to top. What if you don't have a song we want? Our music library is very large and the chances of us not having a song you would like are slim. But in the off chance that we do not have your request, and as long as we know at least one week before we guarantee to have any special songs. All special requests can be made by using our FREE online planner. Back to top. How do we reserve a date? In order to reserve your special day with us, we only require a $50.00 non-refundable retainer. When you decide to on Maine DJ Service give us a call toll-free at 1-866-685-6335 or email us and we will email or snail-mail you a copy of the contract to print out, sign and return with the retainer. Back to top. Will we get a contract? Yes, we issue a contract for every event. Back to top. Do you have any references we can call/email? You can view some testimonials on our testimonials page. Back to top. Do you have insurance? Of course we do! We carry $1,000,000's in coverage. You can view and print a copy of our insurance binder here. We can have our insurance company fax a copy to your venue if they require. Back to top. How early do you usually arrive prior to an event? We usually arrive at least an hour and a half before your event. If your wedding and reception are in the same location we can arrive earlier if needed. We never charge for setup. Back to top. When do we have to pay in full? We allow you to pay whenever you want, but final payment is not due until the day of your event. Back to top. Can you stay longer? Sure! We only book one event per day so if you want us to stay longer, just let us know about 10 minutes before the scheduled end time. Of course there is a fee for overtime. Back to top. |
